A while ago my computer was giving me a problem when I tried to get on the internet (it wouldn't let me get on). I found out the problem, My IPX address was screwed up. When I tried to reset it it just went back to the messed up address. So I called Dell and they said it was a softwear problem (so they won't even touch it). So when I went to Format c: it was giving me a problem and wouldn't let me format by drive. Does anyone know how I can get my computer to format?

Left click on your Start button, go to Run, type in Format, and hit enter. You will REformat your harddrive. Be sure that's what you want to do before you do it. I'd contact a pc specialist (repair personnel) first.
