She is not that large, but she has long hair and is VERY affectionate. Her face is not smushed. She gets along well with my bulldog and my sister's pomeranian. She is extremely calm. When I cuddle with her, she is limp, letting me hold her as I please. When I pull her into my lap, she lays where she falls, always content. Her purr is loud. I've never had a ragdoll cat, but I've heard they are like this? Whatever she is, I'm glad she's now mine!!! :)

Fuzzy or raggy how? All I know is she has ultra soft long hair. It's charcoal gray with a little cream in spots under her chin

I know Ragdoll is a breed. Since the cat is a stray, I don't know her breed or primary breed. That is what I'm trying to find out. The Ragdoll breeder sites I have visited show all different colors with different markings.

By the personality you describe, some are the characteristics of a Ragdoll. The color is wrong though, but you could have a cross. Ragdolls have blue eyes, back fur that feels like bunny fur, the limpness is the trademark. Make sure she is an indoor ONLY cat, because Ragdolls aren't scared of cars, they won't run, they will just lie down.

Ragdolls are not a personality, they are a breed. They do have long soft hair, but it is always a soft fawn color with seal point and white markings. If she is any other color, she's not a ragdoll. They also have blue eyes.

Charcoal and cream? Sounds more like a DLH (domestic long hair).

They come in all sizes, all colors/patterns, all eye colors. They do not have smushed faces. Personality is unique to each cat. Ragdolls are fairly rare, so I would doubt you came across one as a stray- but I'm glad you took her in anyway, enjoy your new friend!

i think it is from your description...
An unbelievably affectionate cat, the Ragdoll has an extremely gentle, relaxed personality. They want to be where their people are and will follow them around the house. They will come to the door when guests arrive to see what is going on and will sometimes talk to the guests in a soft voice.
Ragdolls are large Blue Eyed cats. They are very relaxed, huggable and affectionate. They have semi-long, soft, bunny-like, non-matting fur. Ragdolls are pointed cats with darker point color on cooler parts of the body : the ears, mask, tail and feet.
Ragdolls are a large breed of cat. Ragdolls fully mature in size at around 3 years of age. Adult males may weigh 15 pounds or more. Females will weigh about 5 pounds less.
Ragdoll Cats come in the following three traditional patterns:
Colorpoint
Point colored mask, ears, feet, nose, paw pads and tail. Same pattern as siamese. A Colorpoint has no white.
Mitted
Point colored masked, ears and legs with white mittens on the front feet and white boots on the back legs. They also have a dominant white chin, chest and underbody.
BiColor
Point colored ears and tail. White inverted "V" extending downwards covering the nose, whisker pads and chin. The legs and complete underbody are white and there is often an asymmetrical area of white on the shoulders or back.
Ragdoll Cats come in the following traditional colors:
Seal Point
Body color may vary from fawn to warm brown. Nose leather and footpads are dark brown.
Blue Point
Body color is ivory. Nose leather and paw pads are dark blue-gray.
Chocolate Point
Body color is ivory. Point color is slightly lighter than the color of a milk chocolate bar.
Lilac Point
Body color is milk white. Nose leather has a lilac hue and paw pads are coral pink.
New Patterns and Colors of Ragdoll Cats:
Lynx Point
Overlays any one of the above patterns. Ticking or striping appears on all the pointed area except the back or saddle Lynx pattern comes in all colors and patterns.
Tortie Point
Overlays any of the above patterns. Tortoiseshell pattern appears on all the pointed areas. Colors generally are Red or Cream mixed with one of the other colors
Red Point (new color)
Cream Point (new color)
