Well if you got your degree in Liberal Arts, Classics or Philosophy, you're only as employable as the "Would you like an apple pie with that?" guy.

8 1/2 years for a Bachelors degree? Was it at least a BS, or was it a BA?
Such is life.
Personally though, I don't have a degree. Just lots of schooling and a career as an engineer. I guess that it simply means that the degree you hold doesn't necessarily accurately reflect the education you've gained. Certainly it doesn't reflect one's intelligence.
Anyway. Being an Christian doesn't make one an imbecile. What does is being a Christian without actually questioning your beliefs and discerning your own answers. It's the sheep who follow some pastor and have never fully tested and understood their own faith that are imbeciles.
If someone asks "Why do you believe in Christ" and your only answer is "Because the Bible says so", that's kind of an imbecile answer. If you are speaking from your own experience and real investigation, I can respect that.

Well, first off, everybody is either an imbecile, or worse in this forum, if you listen to the other people in this forum. Christians, Muslims, Jews, Atheists and Agnostics have all been mocked and picked on.
Second, while a bachelor's degree doesn't get "negated," a person can be very stupid and still have a degree. It could be a degree in a frivolous topic, or it could have been earned at a diploma mill.

Hello =)
Your question seems to imply that your level of education should in some way put you in a position to speak authoritatively in some way, and that someone is challenging this??
Well...
Perhaps your education does give you the right to certain things, like better earning potential, preferential selection for certain jobs, and so forth.
It has no bearing, however, on the validity of your opinions, or your amount of knowledge.
One can fill up a leaking can, to its brim, but still have no water left by the time one gets home.
Perhaps you are such a can. Perhaps not. Your question doesn't help us solve that at all. It just tells us how big the can is. We have no knowledge of the number, or the size of, the holes.
Namaste, and Happy New Year,
--Tom

In my brief time here I have learned that the word "Imbecile" , has no place.
Your Bachelor degree aside. There are those who judge on all sides of this circle.
To be honest I have found that many Christians and other beliefs have a lack of knowledge in their religion. Mostly in the history of their faith.
If your Bachelor degree is in history, you most likely agree with me.

Imbeciles get college degrees all the time. Some of them in less time ...took me 6.5.
I mean, I can hardly think of anything worse for my reputation than to say that I wasted the most energetic years of my adult life paying gov't employees to tell me what to think.
BTW, we Christians are supposed to revel in being named as fools. Suffering is the lubricant for slipping into heaven.

Not to call you stupid, but spending 8 1/2 years in school to learn something you could have picked up by reading books on your major does sound stupid. You paid for a piece of paper.
