the church I go to now I've been at since I was eight years old. I love my church and church family. We just got a new Pastor, and I do not like him at all. He is all fake. Other people have left the church too now I am thinking I should too. I really do not like him and his sermon's, to me, are boring and I never listen to him cause I don't like him.. How hard is it to find another church I would actually like? Anyone else gone through this? Thank you.

Hmmm..i think you and your church family should talk 2 the church pastor because i mean you come to church to praise and worship God and you enjoy doing that at the same time. But if this new pastor makes you uncomfortable get some members of your church to have a word with him about how you would like the sermons to be done. If he doesn't show any intrest in what you asked and doesn't really care, then seriously you should kick him out. If he is a fake then he shouldn't be preaching because it will set a bad example to people in your church. God bless x

If what you are saying is merely "not liking" the new Pastor because you find him boring or "all fake", then that's one thing. It's a matter of going to another church [building] of the same denomination that you already belong to. You will be listening to a different Pastor there, hopefully one that you will settle for instead.

But if you don't like your new Pastor AND the teachings and doctrines of your present Church [religious denomination], then that's a different thing altogether. This will take some time for you to do your homework, and YOU will need to be vigilant in doing your own search of the different religious organizations that you would like to belong to. Ideally this "new" Church should be able to provide you with all the solutions to your concerns in matters of Faith.

Good luck in your personal quest and Godspeed.

Peace be with you.

Do you go to church to be entertained?
Your supposed to go to church for fellowship with other christians
not be amused by the pastors teaching methods.
Is his doctrine Biblically sound? If not, that would be the only reason to leave.
The Pastors job is to reprove and teach biblical truth, not keep you from being bored. perhaps his message needs work, you could always talk with him about it. Wouldnt that be the fair thing to do?

I believe you have to go where you are led, and feel at home. However, if you abandon this Church, and others too, what will become of it? Pray for help in this - pray for a spirit of understanding and tolerance. Maybe this new guy is not that bad- but you have closed your heart to him.
IF that is not the case, search until what you are looking for is found. But, I truly believe Jesus is not happy with us when we Church hop. My opinion.

Just out of curiosity, what is the affiliation of your church? Baptist? Methodist? Pentecostal? Episcopalian? What?
