try going to a running store and have them measure your food to see exactly what kind of shoe you should wear and then tell them you only have up to $70 to spend. You could also try going to your doctor and seeing what your doctor thinks about it

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM
I was ready to give up running.
I was running on crappy $20 shoes.
I went to a sports store.
I brought my old shoes and showed the worker how they were wearing.. and then he suggested the right shoe. I found my shoes allowed my foot to roll in a certain way that was causing my shin splints (Which are tiny fractures in your shin bone..that is why they hurt so much)
granted, I paid $100 for the shoes- but they lasted me for months and months.... but what I really got was the expertise of the sales person.
Now I know what to look for in a cheaper shoe.
Go to an expensive store, get free advice, and then go buy the right pair of medium priced shoe

this is a shin splint and it incredibly is brought about by employing your stride, the way your foot hits the floor. in case you experience the exterior of your shin there's a muscle in the front it extremely is pulled once you factor your feet upward and that's what hurts, the two the muscle itself and the tendon that attaches it to the bone. Yeah, it hurts. It looks like somebody pounded on your shin with a hammer and chisel. Stretching before facilitates yet i choose for to propose going to a shop that caters to runners. countless the shops have a device which you step on and it sees the issue with your stride and then they provide help to locate a shoe to counteract the issue. (case in point, I even have this issue with the aid of fact I even have extreme arches in my feet and it reasons my foot to curl as quickly as I step which attracts the muscle in the shin so I ought to have distinctive arch help). this isn't a hydration subject. A cramp at the back of the calf muscle, confident that ought to be from hydration yet no longer a shin splint.

You need to stretch you calf muscles.
Stretch them 3 times a day, and the pain you feel with walking will get better :) The website below has the stretches explained.
I had this problem, luckily it doesn't hurt any more!! I noticed a difference after about a week, and now a couple of months on I don't ever feel that pain.
I found it easiest to do the stretches just before I ate each meal, it can be a pain getting in to the habit, but its worth it, and will save you money on trainers.

I took aerobics many years ago. Our instructor had us do stretches before we started, she called the pain in the chins, chinsplints. After the stretches start out slow then speed up. Slow down for a while again before coming to a stop. Also, get good running shoes with an arch.

THis could happen for two reasons
1. make sure that you stretch out your legs real good before walking or running.
2. you could have fallen arches so make sure that your shoes have a good arch support. Ask the sales person at a sporting goods store. or I think you can purchase arch supports that insert into your shoes.
The same thing happens to me although I run outside. I just try to make sure that I'm good and stretched out!

Some crosstraining shoes, new balance, nike, reebok. If you don't stretch enough before excersice your calves will cramp up and will cause pain. As for your shins...i'm not sure what could cause it. Try stretching and some good comfortable shoes.... if it doesn't help ask a prof. trainer.

I'm really happy with the Nike running shoes I wear, you have to just make sure they are made for your feet. If you need wide shoes, get wide shoes...good luck!
