I have been wondering lately why everyone i know get the stomach flu probably once a year and yet i probably haven't had it in at least 10 years. even then it may have been food poisoning and if it was, then its been closer to about 13 or 14 years(which would have made me about 6 or 7 years old). Could I have some type of immunity to it or am i just really lucky?

Environment could be a big part of it. I went for 10+ years without getting it, but then I started volunteering at a local elementary school and caught it 2 or 3 times in 4 months. If you aren't around people who are contagious, you lower your risk.
Also, your guess about food poisoning is right on, apparently, a lot more people are afflicted by mild cases of food poisoning than most people think, but they think it's stomach flu.
