Sure. If he feels the same way, you have everything to gain. If he's a decent guy, and he's not attracted to you "in that way" then he will appreciate you still, be kind to you and still be your friend. If he isn't a decent guy, immature, afraid or stupid, he'll blow you off and run away...then you have lost nothing.

Absolutely, the best thing you can do is tell him how you feel, Honesty is the best policy. Better to know for certain where your relationship is headed than to try & second guess eachother.
