A miscarriage, for the most part, is NOT life-threatening. It's NOT a medical emergency in 90% of cases. And I highly doubt any nurse would purposely drop any pt on the floor. Lots of messy paperwork.
Why are doctors and nurses so rude? Work for one week in the ER, and then ask the question again.
It's an endless stream of nonsense complaints, complete entitlement, horrible attitudes, and condescension. That's from the patients, not the staff.

Depending on which hospital you go to determines how the treatment is. My husband works for a major hospital in Indianapolis and he actually had an ER visit (as a patient) with chest pains...yes, there are a lot of nurses that are rude. Not to stick up for the rudeness or excuse them, but hospitals are under staffed. One reason for the under staff problem is lack of faculty in the nursing programs. I know this doesn't excuse the treatment you receive, but when you work in an ER, things are hectic and some medical emergencies are more critical than others. For example, when my husband and I went to the ER for his chest pains(which ended up being a heart attack) his symptoms were said to be "not life threatening"...we thought to ourselves..."that is crazy"....but when we found out that there were a couple of patients in the ER that had shot gun wounds and a patient who cut his hand off with a saw and a couple other major issues, we understood where the nurses come from. Nurses have to treat the more critical patients first or they could die in an instant...also, being in an ER envrionment is very busy and hectic, not to mention the lack of staff, therefore, the nurses are spread out too thin and tend to get irritated very easily. This should not be taken out on the patients, but it does.....my husband and I are both in the medical field and got treated badly in the ER too, but we finally got things straighented out and actually complained to the hospital(which is where my husband works) and hopefully the attitudes will be taken care of....maybe you should call and complain...believe it or not...complaints to the hospital do work because they are required by state to show all complaints and how they were resolved...you might want to do this to improve the patient care at the hospital that your aunt and sister went to....believe it does help...voice your opinion...it might save the life of another patient...I hope this helps!

Unfortunitly so many of them are in it for the money and it should be about the patients and thier needs. And I should also mention nurses and doctors work 12, 16, or more hour's in a day, and usually are understaffed. You ,or the patient can make a complaint to the hospital and mention the nurses or doctors name, and explain to them the lack of care given to your relative. Anything that you go to the emergency room is important and you or anyone else is entitled to be treated with respect and dignity.

You have to consider the stress that these people are under and the fact that many people go to the er with frivolous complaints. That being said and hopefully considered. It isn't right that your relatives were treated that way. I am just curious if you happen to live near me. In Indiana. The town hospital is notorious for doing things like that and even leading to the death of many people. There have been evens with my family members that have almost caused me to go to jail. I guess I am saying even under all conditions they should still remember they are there to help no matter what has transpired during their day.

You have to remember, most doctors & nurses are under the gun when it comes to malpractice that they are constantly looking over their shoulder. They aren't treating the patients anymore, they are just treating the conditions.
You'd be better of in many situations just using a home remedy, or if you do have an emergency, go to a clinic rather than the ER. Clinics are less likely to be mired in malpractice issues.

Not all nurses, doctors and hospitals are that way. I work at a hospital in surgery and we treat all of our patients the same. When I say that we would not treat your sister any different than we would someone who is having chest pains. Hospitals need to be staffed that way everyone gets the same treatment. I would try another hospital next time. But I promise you we are not all bad.
