You responded to one of my questions, and referred to me as "ignorant" because of my christian beliefs, and lifestyle. Yet I've noticed that you've asked many questions concerning God and Christianity. You ask, where is the proof that God exists?

Proof would not change your belief, because that is not where the problem lies. Your heart must change before you can discern on a higher level. Right now you are functioning purely on a sensory level...you are limited by sight, sound, touch, and other lower level sensations. These are distrations for you.

You have a veil of materialism and man made ideals over your eyes, as expressed in your other message concerning your choices in life. We all begin on that level. It is your choice to evolve beyond that. In a previous message, you expressed that in the past you've opened up to God and nothing happened. God is not to be tested, nor does he exist to appease our curiosity.

When you are humbled, and genuinely begin to seek a relationship with God, you will find him. Until then, you will be grasping at the wind, unable to catch what you know is there. Do not let your pride, manipulate you into hating or doubting God.

It takes courage and insight to see beyond the flesh and senses, children function on that level from birth, but they are babies. Until you mature spiritually, and are able to elevate your level of understanding, FURTHER proof will do you no good. It will simply go over your head and elude you. Afterall, you are surrounded by the glory and magnificence of God's creations...and still asking for PROOF.

It saddens me that so many feel comfortable boldly proclaiming there is no God, because so many agree with them. Don't let the comfort of humans deceive you. The Bible says the road to destruction will be wider and have more people on it. Also, our technology is a HUGE distraction, because it has made humans arrogant and overly sure of their OWN power and intelligence.

Material things, wealth, and fleshly desires are all TEMPORARY. There is much more to life than the carnal. Wake up! Whether you find me ignorant, foolish, or just plain crazy, I love you with the love of christ, because you ARE my brother in Christ. I felt led to respond to you in detail, and I'm obediently doing just that.

Well, you can go for nitpicking like was Joseph (husband of Mary) the son of Heli (Luke 3:23) or the son of Jacob (Matthew 1:16)?

You can go for nonsense like Genesis 7:19 which states that the flood covered "all the high hills that were under the whole heaven" and then in 7:20 states that "fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered." This is absurd on a number of levels. No one but a plains dwelling tribe with no experience of mountains would think that the difference between a high hill and a mountain would be about 50 feet but, more to the point, there is not enough water in any form in the whole earth to cover the land to the height of Everest.

Most importantly, you can compare the bible to other records. We have Egyptian records which fail to mention any number of things recorded in the bible (including the flood that should have killed all the Egyptians who were writing those records. We have Babylonian records, some of which do not agree with the bible and some of which seem to tell the same stories with Babylonian characters but which predate the bible.

The bible is part truth and part myth. Finding Troy did not prove that all the rest of Homer was true, only that parts of Homer were based on actual events. So with the bible. There is much to admire in the bible as far as ethics and there is much history in the bible if you accept that both the ethics and the history has been overlaid with myth.

Extraordinary claims, like the Bible, require extraordinary proof.

And none exists.

Your claim that 2 billion people can't be wrong is nonsensical. Of course 2 billion people can be wrong. 4.6 billion people are NON-Christian. If you're going by numbers, Christianity loses.

People in the Roman times almost uniformly believed in the Roman gods. 52 million people elected George Bush to the Presidency, and now regret it.

Islam notes it's the fastest growing religion on the planet, and there is some evidence that's true. Does that mean you'll jump ship to become a Muslim just because of the numbers?

Your reversion to numbers simply ignores the influence of culture. Give people more intellectual credit than that.

First off, just because alot of people believe something doesnt make it right. Hundred of years ago people thought the earth was flat, but did that make them right? In the jonestown cult over ninehundred people committed mass suicide because they were absolutely sure that Jim Jones was a prophet. Truth by numbers holds no significance. The bible is wrong because it says that witches exist when science has proven that false.
>You should not let a sorceress live. (Exodus 22:17 NAB)

And it says some pretty extreme stuff about ignoring a priest.

>Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)

Any religion that has even one hateful passage is wrong to start with.

It makes zero sense that an omnipotent everliving being would need written word to convey a message. It is inconceivable that this God would ask a bunch of silly angry men in the ancient middle east to be the authors. This book is disrespectful to God and is more interested in the end of the world than in life. What more Proof do you need, if God is all powerful a book would be unnecessary. Books are easily misinterpreted, words are fluid and can not be trusted to keep their meaning.

The bible is based on the claim that god is perfect. Is mankind perfect? We are told that man was created in god's image. If a statue was not perfect would that be a reflection on the statue or it's creator. A perfect god could not have stuffed it up so badly that it was necessary to make corrections along the way. Can
a round square exist? of course not ! that would be an oxymoron. Well an imperfect god is also an oxymoron therefore god cannot exist.

Are you gay?

If I said you were gay, would that make it so?

How about if I got ten friends to say the same thing; would you be gay then?

How many would it take? A hundred? A thousand? Tens of thousands?

How about if 2 BILLION PLUS people all got together and unanimously agreed that you were a loose, pole-smoking, raging queer?

Would that magically make it so?

Can 2 billion people really be wrong, or would you still know down to the very core of your being that you are not a homosexual?

Now can you give me proof?

Yes, 2 billion people can be wrong. Everyone on earth before Galileo came along was wrong about the sun revolving around the earth....

I need no proof that something DIDNT happen. It is your responsibility to prove what you allege happened. And, you fail to prove anything. This is all the "proof" I need to know your religion is nothing more than lies written in a book of lies spreading more lies.

Muslims beleive that Allah gave Mohammed their Qu'ran as well...why dont you beleive them? Why is your account correct and theirs wrong?

The Bible is a book about Faith. I do not need proof in order to believe or disbelieve. I do not accept the book on faith.

I was not here 2 thousand years ago to witness events. But then, I do not believe in Atlantis either.
