Uh oh, Roberta got into the Watchtower mags again. Hee hee. Even though there's no baby skinning and what not, it still kind of creeps me out. Theres one rule where if you allow someone into your house and they're a jerk to you, you're supposed to make them miserable or something. That's not very nice. I don't think if everyone lived by it's rules that society would function very well. Their whole philosophy is sort of "Every man for himself." At least Wiccans have the philosophy of "Do what you want as long as it's not hurting anyone."

The first thing ya gotta do is define Satanism, many things get lumped in with that title that really are not Satanism at all. Most Christians lump pagan beliefs in that are in no way affiliated. But YES, I'd say true Satanism is only for the truely stupid.

Technically, no. One of the biggest "sins" in Satanism is ignorance, so despite the name their followers are actually NOT dumb. Misguided, perhaps, and I don't think many are actually worshippers of Satan himself. They just like the idea that they are Chrisitanity's "opposite" religion.

A dumb religion is one where all the answers are provided for you, and any desire to think for yourself is frowned upon. They make their followers dress in special outfits when they meet, and chant in tongues with lit candles as they "ask" for more money.

Compare any religion with the checklist of Cult Characteristics below. You may just laugh.

Depends. If you're thinking of an altar with Great Horny Toads, then you're off the mark. Billy Graham. How does that strike you as somebody who pitches for the darkness. Or, Jimmy Swaggart. Or .. how ' bout Oral Roberts. I tell you. America is glutted with an overabundance of illustration art and entertainment literature.

Satanism is not a religion. It's something deeply dangerous which you don't want to mess with. People who get into such circles are not right in the mind. I read one of Torey Hayden's books the other day and it spoke of how a young girl of only 8 years of age was sexually abused by satanists and murdered other children in front of her...so yes, it's very dumb...but religion is something completely different.

Nope.

It's like Pascal's Wager, except with the devil.

But if you're talking about LeVey Satanism, then by all means no. That kind of Satanism is the one we subconsiously live by. It's human nature but as a religion. Do you not have pride? If you have pride, then to an extent you follow LeVey satanism

to me what falls under Satanism is to deny Christ. Basically Im concluding that Satanism has many blind followers, not just your overzealous freaks who wear red tights and horns on their head holding a pitchfork.

Satanism is not considered to be a religion. It is a cult-like worship--some would even call it a form of philosophy [not I].

No, I think the haricrishna's are. Aren't they the ones that grow that long braid so that Jesus will have something to grab onto when He comes to lift them up into the clouds?
