If you have a humane society in your area call them, they will make sure that your dog finds a good home and if they have yet to be spayed or neutered they will do that too. The humane society and any ASPCA or city SPCA are no kill organizations if the dog passes the tests for adoption, they require an application be filled out and a reference to make sure that the dog isn't being adopted for the wrong reason such as them being a x-mas present.
