I have curly hair that gets VERY frizzy and bushy. I like to straighten it sometimes, and it looks good. I just recently bought sunsilk de-frizz shampoo and it didn't work. I need to get my hair cut soon as well. Can any of you suggest any good hair cuts for curly hair that can be worn straight? Also, what are some good shampoos? Thanks for the help in advance..
Ciao for now,
Tara

Curly hair is different on everyone. You need to find a shampoo that is not only for de frizz. I use sunsliks shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. It is in a green bottle, but Dove is very good as well and switch up shampoos, don't use the same one for months at a time. Also a trick I have learned is to leave the conditioner on for at least 5 mins. I also recommend to deep condition your hair at least once every two weeks, depending on how frizzy your hair is. This let the hair get the victims that it needs and controls the frizz. I can tell you, don't use anything that smells good (Panetine pro V etc...) As for a cut, DO NOT GO SHORT!! short curly hair doesn't look good on anyone well at least boy short. I think shoulder length, with long layers looks good. Now if you have short hair try not to blow dry it., use a diffuser and always use some kind of product that is meant for curly hair. That goes for longer hair as well. Anything from Paul Mitchell, he makes the best products and you can get them anywhere. Get something for curly and something for when you flat iron your hair.

I too have that Rosanna Rosanna Danna hair. For the bushiness, try frizz serum by any manufacturer. Also hair cuts are based on your facial structure. One must know the the shape of your face in order to suggest a haircut. All haircuts can be worn straight if you have the face for it. The shampoo is an essential part of cleansing your hair/scalp however it is the conditioner and after conditioner products that give you those lasting silky looking results.

I also have curly hair. Mostly I have learned to like my hair, other than that I have it cut by someone with curly hair. Usually layered, it cuts down on the frizz. Avoid using any chemicals it will add to the frizz. Have you tried using a product called glass? I think it's made by redkin. That and a large brush during drying usually works nice.

I'm half black and half white and I have unbelievably curly hair. It gets so frizzy that sometimes I want to go bald so i don't have to deal with it. I sometimes use Paul Mitchell foaming pomade or the Pantene Products in the gold bottles for black hair. My secret ingredient is Indian Help oil and/or coconut oil, I just rub it in when its wet and I never get frizz at all. And as a bonus its about a buck at walgreens.

Ask your stylist and get a good cut. Also stop straightening it! its damaging and causes more frizz. Just stop straightening for a month and see if you can feel and notice a difference. Another thing that worked for me (yea, curl city over here) was I dont use a brush on my hair anymore, I use only wide toothed combs and I only comb my hair while it has conditioner on it, in the shower. Also washing your hair everyday strips it of its natural oils, causing frizz and an overproduction of oil. Wash it only every other day.

my hair has always been very curly and very frizzy. i have mine cut pretty much straight across, but my hair stylist also did something with a few layers. ask your hairstylist for advice. also, i straighten my hair all of the time. i use paul mitchell products. i started this summer and do it everyday that im going somewhere. since then, my hair isnt as frissy or curly, which is so nice. good luck!

I also have thick, curly hair that is prone to frizz.
I ask my hair stylist to give me a cut with layers to keep the curls from getting weighed down, and keep it from getting too bushy.
I think L'oreal Smooth Intense is a good line of hair products. Also, deep condition once a week to keep hair moisturized and from getting too dry and frizzy.
