I'm just curious because I live in a small aussie town and I am not sure how bad this drug problem is here yet. I am interested in what it does to the drug users and what it does to the look of the town effected including its economy.

As a matter of fact, yes we do! I live in a town called Rio Dell in Northwest Cali, and there is a lot of meth up here. It kills the economy and makes all the efforts of the people who try to make the place look nice amount to pretty much nothing. Basically, it has a lot to do with the bad reputation that a town can't shake. I am not sure of what caused this mess, but I know that there used to be a big logging community up here, and that industry has since died and there are tons of unemployed folk up here with a lot of time on their hands...plus a DA who is not interested in incarcerating the drug dealers.
There is a "grassroots" group called "SPAN" - speed prevention something network, and I have been to one of their meetings. Unfortunately, it was pretty pathetic. A lot of addicts just don't want to recover. Maybe they feel there is no good reason to recover. Either way, good question and meth is a huge problem in a lot of areas and people need to be aware.

The Town I am from has been taken over by the drug. Actually Me and my Boyfriend moved away because he was addicted to Meth. (He quit tho) its like a big secret of the town. its just alittle town called Napanee everyone knows someone that is addicted to it or that has done it before..(thats if they havent themselevs already) its like the town is devided into 2 parts, the half that does drugs, and the other half that doesnt.... everyone is on welfare and everyone is high all the time, everyone is getting there kids taken away from them.. its so sad... Im sooo glad I am away from that **** hole!!!!!

I live in Mn (United States) and it's everywhere. It will change a person into a lying thief and it is so very hard to get off of it. If you ever are around it PLEASE don't risk everything and stay away from it. I know first hand what that crap will do to a person and a family. I made the mistake of trying only once and it turned into a year of living hell. Meth is straight from the devil!

it is a very bad drug. i was hooked for a few years. it is a downward spiral that gets out of hand very fast. it can make you like everyone at first then you begin to hate everyone. please do not try this drug it will get a hold of you before you know it and then it is all down hill.
