My pup is now 5 months old and I still put her in her pen at night. Her pen is in my bedroom and has a nice soft bed in it for her. I believe dogs, especially puppies should have their own place to sleep. You won't accidentally roll over on the pup at night, the pup is less likely to keep you up at night (maybe a little whining the first few nights until she gets use to it). No pee or poo accidents in your bed. A lot of people choose to crate a puppy. This works too.

Some people say it's not good to let your puppy that young sleep with you because they will become use to it and be spoiled. I know one time when I was taking care of a puppy 4-6 weeks old that she became so used to it that when I tried to let her sleep alone she would whine all morning and @ night until someone came and got her and let her sleep in the bed with thm. At this age you should probably be crate training her and letting her get use to her crate as a home for herself. One she becomes older it will be okay for her to sleep in your bed. I know I let my 6 month old dog sleep with me when she was around 5 months old and it's fine. At times I let her sleep in her crate and she doesn't make any sounds, although in the morning she wines to go out so I wake up to let her out. Good Luck.

I can promise you that a 6 week old puppy WILL soil your bed, so go ahead if you don't mind sleeping in a pile of puppy poop.
I place a puppy crate right next to my side of the bed. This way when the puppy starts to whine and cry (and they always do) during the night I can just tap on the top of the crate to reassure the puppy that I am right there beside it.

seems such as you're doing each and every thing fantastic. Kittens will cry all night whilst left on my own - they %. their own sleep schedules so there is not something you're able to do approximately it different than ignore with reference to the crying until they end. as quickly as they're sufficiently previous to wander around the abode at night (or a minimum of your room), the subject will flow away. until then you definitely'll purely would desire to settle for the occassional crying. A toy interior the field would desire to help, and leaving the television/radio on can help slightly too. i could in all probability flow elementary on the cow's milk - it may reason diareah. Your kitten could be waiting to consume canned cat/kitten foodstuff by using this age (in spite of the incontrovertible fact that introduce new "flavors" slowly, through fact differences in foodstuff would reason diahreah too). as far as toddler, purely look. you'll be waiting to tell.

ONLY let her sleep with you if you plan on doing that forever. Otherwise make her sleep in her own bed right from the start.
It's not fair to let her get used to one thing and then make her change it.

I have done this will all my puppies, so I could get a good nights sleep. They do not sleep with me now, and are very attached to me. I think it is fine.

yup
it also depends on the breed in some cases. Some breeds are more dominant than others, and letting it sleep with you makes it equal to you=aggressiveness in the bed.

If you want your dog to sleep in your bed than its fine. But if you want her to sleep in her own dog bed on the floor no its not a good idea to let her on your bed.
