Lately I haven't been feeling all that well. Like, I always feel lazy and sleepy. I've been trying to excercise a lot more. I've tried eating better, like lots of fruits and vegetables, mostly oranges and pears and celery. I've also tried eating a lot of protein, and sleeping more. But I've found that the longer I sleep the more tired I am when I wake up. It doesn't seem to be working. What should I do?

It sounds like you are having sleep deprivation or suffering from some form of sleep disorder. If you are trying all of the above at the right times. For example it's a good idea to exercise but not right before going to bed. Also try to avoid alcohol, avoid active things like the computer or TV, and get a blue light. Blue light resets body rhythms for sounder sleep, higher alertness. If this fails I think you should seek professional help.

I'm sure you've heard this from others, but I've found that when I sleep too much it makes me feel even more tired than normal. I'd def go to the doctor and ask about your problem though; it wouldn't hurt and could possibly help a great deal! Good luck :)

well the reason you are probably more tired if u sleep more is because you are over tired. i would suggest sleeping less.. maybe pulling an all nighter one night. that will allow your body and mind time get tired so you may be able to sleep better and not feel as tired when you wake up. or just talk to your doctor and see if there is something they can suggest.

If your getting enough sleep and eating better and nothing has changed, I would make an appt with your doctor. Also if youve started taking medications lately, it may be a side effect. But make an appt.

you may have a sleep disorder known as sleep apnea. Ask your doctor for a sleep study to find out.
