if a legal citizen wa to wait for work outside a home depot he would be called into the police and stopped, becuase it is ILLEGAL, so they are protected by thier own criminal activity
Why does Home Depot have to put up with it, If it was a bunch of white guys selling T-shirts, they wouldn't last two days, but the same Mexican and central American illegals stand outside a certian Home Depot for years at a time, I know one guy thats been on the same corner for 8 years, I s this a joke or what,
what is so wrong about profiling and asking about citizenship, instead they are profiled and let off the hook,, How did they get that deal

If you have never seen 20 or more men hanging outside HD trying to get hired then you don't know what hes talking about.I have and I see it on a daily basis.What hes saying is the truth,if you haven't seen it don't say its not true.Its true and its an every day thing.
If you pull in the lot with a pickup they surround the truck,Asking in Spanish for work.(Yes I speak Spanish)
It should be stopped and they should have to hire legal workers from the states unemployment office.But they can hire 3 or 4 illegal aliens for the price of one legal worker.In my state if you are legal and you want to work,you can get a good job.So yes I do know also from talking to them that they are illegal.They don't seem afraid to admit it. If you think its not happening and that its not a problem then you live in a small world.And anything that goes on in America is my business because I help pay Americas bills just as all legal Americans do.

How is their activity criminal? I work in downtown Los Angeles and see A LOT of people (most of which are not of Hispanic descent) BEGGING for money!! They are not being arrested. So for you to say that it is illegal for these "millions" of people standing outside of a Home Depot is so IGNORANT.
Yes, like it was already stated. They are doing the job that others wont do. They are willing to accept the pay that most people wont accept (probably someone like you), but dont you think it is better that they be out there in front of the local hardware supply store trying to earn an honest living and not stealing?!?!?!?!
Get over your superiority kick and think about what it is you are saying. Put it this way, what if it were whites or "Americans" who were the ones being profiled. I know that is not the case, but how would you feel if it was you trying to make ends meet in an honest fashion. That's funny, at the Home Depot store in my area, "white" people stand outside in the parking lot almost all year long selling various goods. Nobody has ever complained about them, so what's the problem? If Home Depot has no problem with it, then what does it matter? It's really none of your business anyway. It sounds to me like you're just looking for another reason to complain about "illegal immigrants". I'd love to know how you knew for sure that they were illegal in the first place. You probably went around and asked each one of them, right? It's just terrible to see someone trying to find work, isn't it? It's a good thing that the Americans are so secure here, and they don't have to go to another country and beg for work to take care of their families. I mean, can you imagine what would happen if things went downhill here, and we were all forced to migrate illegally to another area to find work? Of course, I'm sure you wouldn't do that though. No matter if your family was starving to death, better to let them die, than to do whatever it took to make sure that they were taken care of. I love the way you say that I must be lying, but I have to stop and think of something that my grandmother always told me - the accuser is the doer. Does this mean you're a liar?

Home Depot is not putting up with it, but actually encouraging it, and even hiring some of these people to work in the store. They are even putting in lounges in some stores for illegal day laborers. They will pay Catholic Charities $94,000 a year to run them (each one I think). Home Depot is also a partner of the National Council of La Raza.

not all of them are illegal. people hire them as independent contractors -- so therefore no need to show documentation. if you don't like that law -- then do something about getting it changed. write your congressman, etc.
its not just home depot. every town has a place where these workers hang out waiting to be picked up for construction jobs, etc.

Supply and demand. 'Illegals' will work for a lot less than Americans and will perform the work that most of us do not want to do. It's kind of like picking up a "bag boy" at the grocery store to take your groceries in your house ... except, most of us aren't that lazy ... yet.

How do you know they are illegal? By the color of their skin? maybe they are homeless, jobless but otherwise LEGAL AMERICANS who can't find work, and will take what they can get - instead of whining and complaining about how pitiful their life is... they do SOMETHING to earn a few bucks to feed their family.
Why are you complaining? Do you have a job and an education? Do you own a car, have a roof over your head? Do you have any idea what it is like to do without? and do you realize that there ARE a lot of HOMELESS and JOBLESS Americans in this country? And what are you doing to help make their life better? Nothing but complaining about people you PRESUME to be illegal because of their race or nationality. Get over yourself and go do some volunteer work to see what life is life on the other side, and maybe you'll quit complaining about people who have to dig the bottom of the barrel just to get by.
