Do they allow you onto grassy areas, or do you stay inside a building and watch via television?
Also, if you were going to the Derby, are there any parties or celebrations you wouldnt want to miss?

At Churchill Downs, there is seats all the way as much as the rail. it is not like different tracks the place there's a huge tarmac for status room close to the rail. To be on the rail, you will desire to have the front row seats. A generic admission value tag will show you how to stand everywhere that there is not any longer seats. you could stand on the paddock to work out the horses. you could stand contained in the infield. yet you're rather no longer gonna see the horses till you're fortunate sufficient to stand on the outer fringe of the infield the place you will see that the finishline.

My understanding is that the GA ticket you get the day of the event doesn't get you into a part of Churchill Downs where you can actually see the track; I believe you are paying to watch the simulcast on the grounds and be part of the atmosphere. We are going this year on a travel package with reserved seats. It's going to cost small fortune, but what the heck. We are also going to the Oaks the day before that, and will watch the Pegasus parade from our hotel.
