Does anyone have any documentation about what the President has said about his faith and the decisions leading up to the war in Iraq?

Is there any evidence that he thought God told him to take the US into war against Saddam Hussein?

Lots of links if you just Google "Bush says god told him to invade Iraq" the Guardian is a pretty reliable source.

I believe we Americans did the right thing. This may be the reason why we haven't had a world war III yet. Also that Christians are praying for America also.

But the WMD that remained were shipped to Syria about the time we attacked Saddam. Saddam is the one who had them snuck out. So Syria has them. That isn't good either.

Because we left Iraq when Iraq backed off in the gulf war (Uquait), Saddam murdered many who didn't agree with him and attempted to gas/poison portions of Israel. We let the Iraqi people down.

I am sure that if God told our President to not go into war, President Bush wouldn't have done it.

There is religious freedoms in the Iraqi Constitutions now. You can't murder someone for their faith. So that is an answer to my prayer.

There were mistakes made. War determined for revenge isn't of God. But war to protect the lives of Americans or innocent people of other countries is righteous.

How about this:

"God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them."

It was more likely the other way around. Even God should be able to see a losing proposition. He shouldn't have caved.

"C'mon, God, I know I can do it! This guys on the ropes! You don't have to do a thing, just sign the endorsement! (snort) Flowers. Parades. Piece of cake. Yeah, yellow cake. That's the ticket...."

God didn't tell him to war with Saddam, Poppy Bush told him to. Since he did that thing with the Shah in the 80's and the US govt gave Saddam his weapons, Bushie and daddy don't like that.

There is plenty of evidence that Bush is not a practicing Christian. Just because the Religious Right supports him, people think that he must be a Christian. Not so. I cannot find any evidence whatsoever that Bush seeks divine guidance for his actions. In fact, his aides say he spends his time wandering the halls of the White House uttering obscenities...

The Presidential Oath includes a commitment to defend the country.
In defense of our nation after the attacks on 9/11, all terrorists, and the nations that harbored them were put on notice.

Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, and even Saudi Arabia.

It is common knowledge throughout the Middle East that the delay of weapons inspectors looking for WMD's gave Saddam enough time to ship them across the border into Syria.

I have seen no evidence. I did see Bush on a program explaining how God "delivered" him from alcoholism.
