I'm wit a 38 yr old guy. He's got two kids wit two different women whom he's paying maintenance for and is in constant contact with them, they're ages are 2 and 4. I told him I want to have a child in 5 yrs when I finish my studies but he said he would be 43 then and that's pushing it. Although he's never told me he loves me, I'm curious as to whether he does love me as he told me he would love a family and would marry the woman who has his next child, or he's using me to have another child?....I'm confused...

And if he's just saying it, then why would a man go to great lengths to do it when everything in the relationship is gud, we have sex aswell so it's not like he wants to get in my pants

No, it does not necessarily means that he loves her; some men are serial womanizers and can't stand to be alone and go around knocking up women because it ties them to them for the rest of their lives without actually having a real commitment to the woman and the woman is too busy raising a baby to have any time to date or look around for another man that will value and appreciate them.
If he hasn't married any of the previous baby mamas, he is unlikely to marry you. If he is committed he should marry you BEFORE you get pregnant. The not telling you that he loves you before saying he wants to have children with you is not normal and a huge red warning flag that you need to sit down with him and talk about what both of your goals in this relationship are to be sure you are both on the same page before preceding to the next level.

Why on earth would you even consider having a child with a man with his history? and Why would you want to have a child with a man who can't even tell you he loves you...or a man who may not love you at all? The age thing has nothing to do with it. Do you have any proof other than his saying so that he actually pays child support or that he is spending time with these other estranged children? Keep your legs together and don't have a child until you are with a man who is definately going to be a good husband and provider. The last thing this world needs is yet another welfare recipiant because of another dead beat dad who claims to pay child support while he's hustling other women and telling them what they want to hear simply so he can have the pleasure of not using a condom or pulling out during sex. Wise up girl...where's your self-respect?

Don't think that a baby will make a man love you. If he has yet to tell you that he loves you, you may want to rethink the whole having a family deal. Having kids will not make him stay, and will not make him love any more. If you feel that he is using you for another kid, you know the truth deep down.

one should never consider children without a stable home in which to raise them LOVE should always be first. so yes he should love you
