the inertia switch on your car is located in the airbag control module.

This switch is also called a bump switch or a fuel cutoff switch.
Here is what it does. If you were in a crash being the fuel pump is electric and runs as long as the key is on, it will trip this switch and stop the fuel flow. So as you can see if the car were to catch fire it will stop the fuel from flowing and feeding the fire.
All fuel injected cars are required to have this switch

I don't know, but you're probably looking for the inertia switch.

This might help you search your Haynes manual.

I assume you mean Inertia switch? hey, if you can't spell it, i'm not sure you should be messing with it ;-)
