I do, I keep seeing commercials about computer chips about to be put into peoples fingers or head to charge as money instead of debit cards...these will be id chips and being a computer microchip will have the mark of the beast. How can people read revelation and still not beleive that this IS the mark its comming soon, please do not get this ever. Yahoo news videos and the scary part was no controversy was shown the reporters smiled right after as if this..this is something we should all welcome with open arms. May God give us the courage and strength to resist this and the wisdom and faith in him to know this IS "the mark".

all the chips have the 666 id number so this its why its the mark, please do not be fooled by people who blow this off as nothing and not a significant step that the universal id is takeing....they are either being fooled or refuting the fact simply because they do not have faith/beleive in Jesus Christ.

ok the difference with the chip is it is literally attached inside or to your body not an external card as in the social security id...

S.S. + mailing zip code. 9 nu. + 9 nu. = 18 divided by 3 = 6 or 3X6=18

This is our identity. Sometimes we have to use our zip code to use our visa.

If a person reads Revelation, person will be smart and not take the mark of the beast, even though they will have their head cut off. The wrath of God is to be poured on those who take the mark & bow to the beast.

Well, I disagree the mark will be a computer chip, but I agree that only an irrational person could miss that we're close to Jesus' return.

Maranatha!

EDIT: actually, the reference in Scripture is "six hundred sixty six," not "666." This is a direct reference to the Hebrew Gematria system. Wikipedia has a good beginner's article on Gematria that may interest you.

This all depends on your belief. If you're a sincere believer in the Bible, then you'll most likely believe that there will be an "end of times" in the future. Of course, people have been believing that they're living in the end of times for thousands of years. Each generation has had similar fears that their generation is it.
So, does that mean our time could be the end of times? It's possible, considering this time period fits the description given in Revelations and other sections of the Bible. Are we close? This is really relative. In God's timetable, we may be extremely close. In mans timetable, it could be many years more. As for an Anti-Christ, this seems to be a pivotal point in making things come true. Whether it's a man or machine, remains to be seen. We'll just have to keep our eyes open.

I haven't the faintest. First off, I'm an atheist so I don't believe in that end times theory. But I could see the world ending - or really mankind being eradicated - for any number of other reasons. So I can still answer your question.

The things you mention are just progress. I have no doubt the people living in every day and age looked at the progress that was taking place around them and were equally sure that it meant the end was coming.

We are very close to the end times, indeed. I think that most christians, or I hope, would know better than to give into the idea of inserting a computer chip. Talk about that has gone around for some time now. I am referring to the christians I know, they just don't want to go there. Yes, we do need wisdom, and to pray for it.

The stage is being set, the clock is ticking and I think we are at about three minutes before midnight. If you want to read a good description of the image of the beast, read Ray Kurzweil's "The Age of Spiritual Machines"
(Ray is a secular author. I don't think he realizes that he is describing in his book what was prophesied 1900 years earlier in Revelation 13:15)
Come quickly Lord Jesus!

It would appear that the 'prototype' mark is on the scene.

Yes of course we are in the End Times.

Also to watch: The pressure for Arab nations to accept Israel as a nation. Abbas and Hamas have been vocal about this. Hamas has declined, but are succumbing to the pressure put on them by Egypt.

Very interesting, because the Antichrist is supposed to be the one to bring peace to the area, for the first time. The 'seeds' have been planted.

I think we are approaching the end of humanity, yes.

The signs are everywhere and obvious: the most extreme natural disasters on record are happening more frequently now than ever before (think Katrina, '04 Christmas tsunami, 9.0 Earthquake in Turkey, out of control wildfires in the U.S. West, hottest temps ever in many countries during the past summer, warmest temps ever right now in the Northern Hemisphere, etc.); the moral depression in our global society that seems to sliding down a slippery slope; the increasing threat of unchecked global terrorism and unending conflict in the Middle East; the increasing approval and legality of anti-life medical procedures in the U.S. and Europe (abortion, OTC contraceptives, euthanasia, embryonic stem-cell research, cloning, right-to-die statements, etc.).

The truth of the matter is that our race has never had to deal with many of these crises before in our long and difficult history, and the ones that are as old as we are like war and natural disasters are occurring more frequently and with more power than our race has ever seen.

It's not a matter of if anymore, but when.

I can answer this in one word. NO!

News flash: Every single generation since 200 years before Jesus people were saying it's the end of the world! Nothing has changed! People are still saying that stupid crap!

Guess what life and the world will continue to go on reguardless of religious fantasy! Religious delusions being screamed from street corners DO NOT MAKE THEM REAL! It just make the person yelling look as crazy as they really are!

There is no God that is going to pop in and say hey here I am! That's because THERE IS NO GOD!

Well, I don't know about all that computer chip stuff, but according to the Bible, we are living in the "last days". It foretold signs that we would see in people and events to let us know that the end is very soon. But, good things are going to happen after all the wickedness we see around us is done away with.
