Male Clicos are very rare and as you have read here often unable to breed! Alot of people mistake Torishell males for calicos. Tortishell cats are black, orange A Calico will be black, orange and white!
Ok..now on to male calico cats. The only way a male cat can have a calico
coat is if it has what is called Klinefelter's syndrome in humans - it has
two X-chromosomes and one Y. Since the Y-chromosome is the sex determinant,
the cat will develop as male (with male secondary sexual characteristics),
but will be sterile. However, one of the X-xhromosomes will be condensed by
a mechanism that involves the recognition of one X-chromosome by another.
So, if the cat is "heterozygous" for the coat-colour gene, it will have a
calico coat.

Not unless you find some who wants one I guess. Male cats are extremely rare, about 1 in 1000 calico cats are male. When they are male they are sterile. This is because you need 2 X chromosome to get the orange and black coloring and male cats need both and X and a Y to be well, boys! If a male cat is calico it means that he has 3 chromosomes. This causes sterility along with other genetic problems.
Ps...orange/yellow tabby female are not nearly as rare, about 1 in 10 orange/yellow tabbies is female.
I work at a shelter...I'm not making this stuff up (:

Nope. While they are rare, they are an anomoly and will warrant no more money than a normal cat. Male calicos are actually hemaphrodites as to have the tortishell color, it requires female genes so a male calico will have female and male genes and will be sterile. Breeding calico cats is impossible.

They are very rare. Most calico cats are female. If you can find a healthy male I imagine there are a lot of people with female calicos that would pay a lot.

If Calico is the same as what we in England call tortoise shell then they are rare but not valuable. As stated by an earlier answerer they are usually female but a genetic blip gives you the occasional male.

To the right buyer, yes. They are rare as hen's teeth. Certain cat's colors are gender specific. Calicos are female while yellow tigers are male.

No, they aren't worth any more then any other color would be. They aren't common but they aren't "rare" either. Usually calico males are sterile.

Yes they are very rare because the gene that makes them calico usually makes them female as well.
