I don't believe in an afterlife. I see no reason to believe in one, and I am not inclined to believe the stories of any of the major religions - I mean, 72 virgins, and angels playing harps, and all of your ancestors sitting around boring each other? My life, and the life of the Universe, is full of wonder, and very beautiful. To me, the fact that I will cease to experience anything when I die makes my life far more precious than it would be if I were just passing through on my way to eternal boredom.

nothing in particular has happened to me to make me believe but on a basis of faith I do hold the belief that death is not an end but simply another door that life offers. Someone once said that "I think therefore I am." And I think the implications of that simple statement are mighty powerful. No one can argue that we all share that inner voice that most of us call our conscience I guess, and I doubt that when my body is no longer confined to the physical laws bounded by this planet that that voice will simply dissipate, nor will I be prisoner to the constraints of time. I think that in this world the truest and rawest expression of humanity is what we feel. And I acknowledge what it is that I feel, then on a basis of faith, believe it. So I feel I'm heading to a good place, wherever that may be.

I believe in the afterlife - nothing physically has ever happened to me, it's just a feeling.

Christianity, Judaism and Islam all point towards an afterlife. More than half of the worlds population belong to these three and their books all state that their IS an afterlife.
It seems logical that our actions in this world cannot be done without us either being rewarded for them or having to pay for them.

Yes, I believe in the afterlife. I believe there is more evidence to show there is an afterlife, than that there is not one.

i died for 2 minutes when aroutine operation went wrong. to this day i swear i saw the tunnel of light thing etc. but im not sure what it was. i had this strange feeling that i was meant to do something more with my life & that it wasn,t my time. i,ve come close a few times over the years (my job is quite dangerous) but had this feeling of being invincible & just kinda know im going to be alright. im not sure if that qualifies as an afterlife but whatever it was it was very calm/serine.

Yes main reason is I believe in GOD.The other reason is it gives me something to look forward to.If I believe and think that's were I'm going it makes me happy and not scared to die,and if I go there I won't be disappointed. If I die and there is no life after death I won't know the difference.
