Mexico now ranks 4th in the number of billionaires--24 men who together control over 12% of the country's gross national product

These do not include behind-the-scenes billionaires like cocaine and heroin kingpins;

Carrillo Fuentes - net worth $25 billion
Garcia Abrego - net worth $15 billion

(Compare to the wealth of New York's Rockefeller family with assets of $5.5 billion and Ross Perot $2.4 billion)

These three dozen men--strong PRI supporters control 1/4 of the country's total $361 billion GNP 10% of Mexico's population control 60% of country's wealth According to the World Bank, Mexico now has the most unequal system of income distribution of any industrialized country 66% of Mexico's foreign investment comes from the US.

And there's nothing wrong with 40% of mexicans living in poverty?

Are the billionares of Mexico illegaly enetring the US?

Will the US look like this someday?

We're already there. The majority of Americans are unaware of the corporate influence in government and economics. The billionares will continue to win as long as their products are bought. We are consumers before we are citizens.

William Gates III -- $60 billion
Currently the world's richest man,
I couldn't resists this one .
But yes perhaps if things continue the way they are,the US could become that way.Our middle class is dwindling away as prices rise faster than wages.Health care costs are outrageous, the cost of education is soring. The influx of illegals that accept low wages are bringing down the pay of even middle class working people now.Soon the working poor will become more and more the norm.and not the exception. If you have to decide do I feed my entire family or do I take one sick child to the doctor, you are the working poor. You make too much money to get any help and not enough to live decently. And you cant afford health insurance.
The rich in all nations get richer and the poor barely get by and the disparity between them grows and grows.
I love the free enterprise system but at my business I pay everyone a livable wage.I'm not going to shame what my forefathers fought and died for in this nation.I want to be a proud business owner and I want to be respected by my employees, not hated .I think we all need to work hard for our money but we must also strive to never create an underclass of Americans by not paying a decent wage.I hire legal Americans, not illegal aliens.

From day one of the "illegal crisis" that people SUDDENLY care about I have said that a corrupt and drug filled upper crust control the daily lives of all the good and honest people of Mexico.

You just put numbers to it. BUT......doesn't this explain why people are risking their lives to enter a country with the clothes on their back. They see NO hope.......I SEE no hope for THEM.

There is no middle class in Mexico, there is no long term solution, there is a tyranny of very rich men who have abused their Mexico and alienated the world.

The US will NEVER look like that at ANY point......TOO MANY......can I say that again.....TOO MANY strong and proud Americans would protect their America before they would cower from their leaders/billionaires. Gotta love the USA.

The world already looks like this. 94% of all the wealth in the world belongs to the top 2% rich people. Scary, huh?

If our government and our people let the illegal immigration go rampant as it has, yes, we will be just like Mexico if not worse....

THE U.S. NEEDS IMMIGRANTS,BUT IT NEEDS IMMIGRANTS WHO NOT ONLY ARE LEGAL, BUT ALSO ARE HIGHLY EDUCATED/SKILLED/TALENTED WHO CAN THINK FOR THEMSELVES AND WHO KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF RESPECTING THE LAWS!!!!

Let industry and the rich me make the money and spend it. The average public is not smart enough to do the right thing. Trickle down theory - sound familiar?
