Is it true that going outside with your hair wet will make you sick?

it depends. if you go outside with your hair wet in the winter and stay outside it could make you sick, like a cold or something... but it's not like if you walk outside with your hair wet any time of the year you will immediately catch something.

Not necessarily, if you are already at risk for hypothermia, then wet hair will probably speed up the process a bit, because it will make you feel colder. But the coldness will not give you a cold, germs will. The reason more people get colds in the winter is because we spend more time inside, where germs and bacteria are EVERYWHERE!!

I have been going out with my hair wet since I was a kid, in all kinds of weather and I rarely get sick!!! NOT TRUE AT ALL!!! Still go to work everyday with my hair wet and it's cold here now! Still don't get sick!

I think thats a myth. I've gone out tons of time with my hair wet and didn't get sick. Cold doesn't make you sick, germs make you sick.

It actually depends on what the temp is when you decided to make this venture outward with wet hair. Cooler temps tend to cool your scalp which in turns lowers your core temp, leaving you suceptible to common colds!!

I always thought she was right and thanks god I never did stupid thing like that. and I never take shower in the morning in winter cause even when you dry with hairdryer roots may be little bit wet and you may catch cold

wet hair and going outside will make you colder than usual. it could give you a headache (almost like a brainfreeze) and if you stay outside too long (it would have to be WAY too long), your body can become weak and more susceptable to disease.

it will give u a cold, becuz ur pores are open and air gets inside so it will cause cold to form, u will get a headache
