Freezer paper is generally heavy moisture-proof paper that might or might not include a wax coating on the inside. Wax paper is generally a thinner paper with a wax coating. Freezer paper is commonly used by meat cutting shops.

No, freezer paper is white on one side with wax on the other. Wax paper is kind of clear with wax on both sides. (We used to take wax paper to the park and sit on it when we went down the slide. After a few times, it is "used up" but the slide is still slick...fun!)
