While it WOULD put a dent in the overpopulation issue, it'd make an even greater impact on how "fascist" our government is becoming. Apparently wanting to make the world safer from terrorism is an act of fascism, so could you imagine what kind of a fiasco THIS would cause (no matter how good the intentions)?

It would only work for the people that the government can keep track of, i.e. the ones with Social Security numbers. The rest of the population are the ones that have 10 kids and live off of welfare checks.

No, but we should have a permit that would-be parents would need to apply for. Basic common sense would be required. Also, it should cost roughly the same as it does to declare bankruptcy. That might dissuade some of these welfare mothers from getting knocked up one mo' time just to get a bigger check.

Those that feel they are entitled to that have severe psychological ailments that should get them locked up immediately. You are not supporting my children. I am. The government is not supporting my children, I am. Then again, you are a man, so it's easy to see why you would hate children. That would make you responsible for them and from the vibe I get from you, you seem to hate to have to think of anybody but yourself and what is in your own interests.
