I'm curious as far as what you do believe in. How do you think the existence of mankind started, why was it started, and why you believe this??

How about I answer your question with a question?

Do you believe in unicorns, leprechauns, and Santa Claus? there are stories about them, and you have seen them in books, on television, and even sat on Santa's lap at Christmas.

But are they REAL? No? When did you find out that Santa was just a personification of the season and not a real person?

How can you disbelieve Santa's existence and in the next breath steadfastly believe in something as inane as a supreme deity called God? Were you present when the legend of Santa Claus came into being? If not, then how can you deny how he started?

If no one was present at the very beginning of time, then ANYTHING presented to explain simple existence can be nothing more than speculation. This means that not only can absolute answers not come from science, but they cannot come from a made-up story about God, either.

At least science has a basis in logic and physical evidence, whereas Christianity is useless.

I believe in the spirit. One thing above all that we can never fully grasp. I also believe that we are here to become our best selves. I believe this because I have learned much about the history of religion, and this is what I have come to. My spirituality evolves all the time, but I will never go back to Christianity. I have turned from Christianity simply because the history of it shows me that many beliefs were fabricated for the good of the church, not because they were set down by God or Christ.

I have a strong suspicion that civilizations have been twinkling off and on throughout time...like fireflies in a night meadow. Possibly we are the only firefly illuminated at this particular time. Possibly there are other fireflies illuminated right NOW...but they are indetectable to us due to distance or our narrow range of perception. When the question of life on other planets arises, we have a tendency to think of the "here and now." I'm betting that other civilizations have existed long before us and will spring up again long after this planet is gone. We narrow our thinking to much when it comes to the "big picture." Step back...get BIG! Think!

i believe in a god not yours but ours none the less and i don't think yours is wrong either i happen to think that most of them are related they're all the same i even have a theory that can prove the idea of god maybe not the all powerfull suprem being but at lest a larg mass of energy E=mc^2 for those how haven't learned this or forgot energy=mass times the spped of light to the power of two if it sort of speaks for itself but basicly the atom bomb uses mass to make energy so therfor energy can produce mass its good enough for me and i think that the idea of chance and evolution is as likely as bam there it is. i might think diffeerently if i saw an ape walk out the woods and start slowly hunting and what have you

I belivie in Christians' God.
I am Muslim and there is only a very little differece in both religions, we both worship a single God

but Muslims belive that Jesus is prophet of God like Mosas, Adam, Noah and Mohammad while christians belive that Jesus is son of God (May God forgive me)

A/C to Islamic concept of evolution Adam was created from dust (first cell of human body was made up of partical of dust and thus it divided and divided again on the basis of cell divison) and God made Eve from rib one of Adam thats why men have one less bone than women in rib cage.

I believe that nature is, ultimately, understandable. I see no need for supernatural mechanisms, be they god or ghosts, allah or aliens.

I believe that this universe (and countless others) arose out of random fluctuations in the vacuum resulting in what is termed the Big Bang. I believe that quarks organized into elemental particles which organized into elements which organized into molecules which organized into structures as diverse as gas clouds and diamond crystals.

I believe that as molecular structures competed for raw materials, self replicating structures developed and that on Earth organic (carbon based) self replicating structures began to compete against each other. I believe that organic self replicating structures increased in complexity as cooperation for resources resulting in the ability to capture and utilize more resources. I believe this increasing complexity eventually resulted in what we would term life.

I believe that life increased in complexity as competition favored those modifications which allowed one form to dominate other forms. I believe that this process, random modification followed by selection based on the success of the modification, has lead to more complex life forms, intelligent life forms, and, eventually, human life forms.

I believe that human intelligence strives to explain things (e.g. pointy sticks kill animals, fire makes wood make more fire) and that where humans could not explain things they created gods in their image (e.g. lightning was fire-air spears thrown by a mighty sky hunter god, rain was the tears of a compassionate mother goddess).

I believe that as humans developed language they found that they could cooperate in more complex ways and villages were created as were specific places where gods dwell. I believe that as hierarchies developed in human life so, too, the gods were placed in hierarchies. I believe that , ultimately, as empires developed the emperor figure became the one god figure, all in our image.

I believe that this process has happened in this universe in many times, in many places, and in many forms. I believe that it has happened in many universes as well although I recognize there can be no evidence of the (at least based on my understanding of our understanding of multiple universes) so it does not form an important part of my belief.

Most importantly, I believe that if any new evidence shows up to contradict any of my beliefs, I will change my beliefs - not ban the message or burn the messenger.

Go in peace, to love and serve the truth.

Big bang and evolution
Chance
Because things don't always need a reason for happening. There is no secret message in the dollar you found lying in the street. You found a dollar, good for you.

I don't know exactly but I think it was an interaction of random molecules - just an accident - followed by billions of years of evolution. I made it up. It makes sense to me.

muslims believe in one God...and he is Allah for us...its possibly the same God as Jews and Christians but the biggest difference is we don't believe in Jesus as his son...he was a prophet of God only for us...ciao
