I have an acne cure that has won me the best answer three times. Each time, the person said it worked great. I'll copy and paste it below.

Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

I have had acne problems since I was 13 and have tried many different things, ranging from OTC washes and medicated pads like oxy and clearasil to very serious medications like Accutane and the one thing I have learned is that you can't ever really get rid of acne or pimples, but you can treat and prevent them.

About a month ago I started using Proactiv and am seeing amazing results. I had pimples when I started using it and they have since gone away and I have not developed any more. It is a bit pricy but in my opinion well worth it considering what I have spent in the past on stuff that doesn't work. It is a whole skin care line, not just acne prevention. Check it out online at www.proactiv.com

Ok just so you know there are so many people out there who suffer from pimples and acne. And one thing that I've been told NOT to do is SQUEEZE you pimples... it creates scars.

But, these tips should help:

It's strange, but putting visine (eye drops) on them helps to shrink them and it really helps reduce redness. Sometimes it is temporary but it works well. Another thing is proactive. I swear it works. You should see my skin.

Drink lots of water and fruits and vegetables should help too.

Use an astringent such as Clean and Clear or Sea Breaze (brands) and use a cottonball each morning to rub it all over your face. On the cotton ball there will be black dirt and that's what is in your pores. Sometimes it burns but, that's how you know it's working. It doesn't burn for long and it isn't like a fire burning...more like a sting.

Also use a facial wash by Clean and Clear that helps to fight bacteria. I have one and it works GREAT. It makes my face smoother and prettier.

I've heard that putting a whitening toothpaste (not the gel) can shrink them overnight. Just put a dab of that on and leave it overnight.

And one last thing eggs. Weird sounding I know...but, it works.
Use one egg white and beat it up really good. Place the goo on your face for about 10 minutes or untill it's tight on your face.

GOOD LUCK

Common habits to prevent pimples from coming: don't touch your face (don't hold your head up with your hand).

Wash your face twice a day: morning and night.

Use a face cleanser - the one I like to use - Noxzema (the best scent ever: original).

The best advice is to just clean your face regularly. If you have skin that is overly oily, then wash your face 3 times a day. I have the same problem, that's why my hair gets oily overnight. Wash wash wash!

"Tea Tree" essential oil. Put just a tiny bit on blemish twice daily. It works wonders! A mixture of Tea Tree and Lavender is a cure all too!

There are great face creams that you can get from your doctor or dermatologist. With my copay, mine is about $50 but worth every penny! It isn't painful at all.
