Just got a cockatiel from the pet shop. When we got it home we noticed that it had a sore on it's chest. Is it just an injury from possibly fighting with the other bird at the shop? Or is it something else? What could it be?

There is no certain answer to this unless you take him to the vet,
He could have done it to himself as he might have mites maybe? and its just starting to heel? Are the feathers on and around the area intact? If they are then thats fine, If not it might be that something was annoying him so he was biting/picking at it maybe,
He could have also have caught it on a toy and its just heeling? or maybe another bird was having a go at him? aslong as he looks healthy, eating and drinking fine, and aint just sulking or picking at his chest then leave it alone and hopefully it will fully heel,
If he starts picking at it consider getting him a check up with your local Avian Vet.
