I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I also don't know if it's true that it grows back thicker/faster. Nothing about the shaving process would contribute to an increase in hair shaft density or the rate at which it is formed. It just might seem thicker and more coarse when it's 'stubble' because short hairs do that.
It's probably best to wax them, but there's nothing wrong with shaving them. You just have try to keep them from being like sandpaper.
For girls, I don't like long arm hair at all, especially if it's dark, but even long blonde arm hair is a bit of a turn-off. If that applies to you, shave em. It's no big deal.

I used to shave my arms because I thought they were really hairy. It is really a personal choice. I finally desided, though, to let the hair grow back. It did not grow back thicker or longer or darker. It was the same as before I had shaved it off. The bad part is you have to shave them everyday! If you don't you get this gross stubble(Ewww)! I would recommend that you not shave your arms. Use a hair diminshing lotion. That is what I use now. Over time it makes your hair appear thinner and lighter. Also, even though you have to use it everyday, it does not get tiring like the shaving. Because it is just like putting on lotion. Most of them have mostuire in it so that you don't have to use another lotion.

Are you referring to the under-arm area or the whole arm itself? If your referring to the under-arm area, it's a personal choice really. Many women decide to shave(or wax, waxing last longer) to look more feminine. Or just because that's what their moms taught them to do. In some countries, women don't shave the under-arm because it's a cultural thing or because they just don't want to or see a need for it. As to shaving your whole arm, well, I'd only do it if I were a professional swimmer or a professional bike rider. There isn't anything wrong per say with shaving your whole arm. Unfortunately, there might be other people who think otherwise.

afaik, it doesn't grow back thicker or darker. It will be all stubby, as the tip of the hair will have sharp edges. And it will possibly look really ugly, if you don't shave it properly regularly, i guess. Why don't you simply try on a little spot which will hardly be noticed?
I think that smooth, hairless skin on the arms is really sexy. But I've never done it, because for a guy, that's really gay. Exept if you're a swimmer or biker. (Maybe; I'll try anyway someday.)
So basically isuggest you try on a little spot for one or two weeks and see a it develops.

You will have to continue doing it once you start, because it will grow back darker, and will look weird once you start shaving it. If you are willing to shave your arms for the rest of your life then there is nothing wrong with it.

There is nothing wrong with it. It will not make your hair grow back thicker or darker. That is just an old wives tale. Check out the links below especially the last one. I hope this clears things up for you.

there really is nothing wrong with it if you have dark hair on the arms and want to get rid of it...there are other alternitives such as bleaching or waxing...do what ever makes you feel good about yourself.
