Once again I feel I have done nothing wrong! Shouldn't Yahoo Answers at least READ what was said BEFORE implimenting disciplinary actions? This is becoming tiresome. There are many on the program who report anything that they don't agree with. Something should be done to end this behavior. It's not the points...it's the principle. I have enjoyed my time here but I am growing weary of the ones who are censoring harmless comments. Your help will be most appreciated.

They do what they want and they don't care! It is their site, so that's the way it shall be!

My biggest issue is for those that report you for ideological reasons! Many deserve to be reported, especially some of the question askers and answers that just make statements without regard for what they are saying.

Moreover, many here get away with flat-out name calling, but if you use a public record as documentation you can get written up!

Sometimes they tell me that I didn't answer the question appropriately by adding information they feel does not belong. The only issue with that is they aren't answering the questions, many which aren't even questions. Anything you write is open for interpretation, valid or not, and they get to enforce their rather non-specific limitations!

Umm, you might want to start by not repeating your question so many times (also part of the terms * conditions) I read this question, as well as 3 others that basically asked the exact same thing.
I know that there are dweebs out there that report for no good reason, but on the flip side, this IS an open forum, and those kind of trolls do exist.
There's no sense in crying over spilled milk. Just clean up the mess and move on.

I know exactly what you are saying!!! Yahoo does not BOTHER to investigate the bogus claims, they just send you a violation notice!!!

There are some REALLY immature people on here, who will report you for NOTHING!!!
If you don't agree with THEM, then you get reported. It's RIDICULOUS!!!
Yet yahoo does absolutely NOTHING about the impersonations, the insults, and the pornography postings by these SAME people!!!

i'm a victim of it too. those that report are like trolls. it would be nice if there was a place on the internet for civil and intelligent discussions/interaction. it would benice if some would cite their sources when they make absurd claims as an answer. end of dreaming.

I agree......sometimes I have given excellent answers to some questions. Only to have someone report my answer to Yahoo. Yahoo then deletes my answer saying "Reason of Violation:Not a Question or Answer". Just some jerk wanting points and taking my answer away because it was better. Some people are so lame!

You got that right. I got reported by a 1st grader because I told them their stupid joke was incomprehensible. I get slammed for every answer I give anymore. I really don't care, I just won't contribute to this site full of juveniles who don't know when to eat their snack and go take a nap. I agree with you 100 percent. Watch I will get downed too. I am tired of this site. Is is no fun anymore. Good luck and take care. As a matter of fact, I am going to see if I can lose all of my 8,100 points in one week. I mean, it isn't like I can buy a car or even a stick of gum with them. There really are no rewards for trying to help younger people on this site with the wisdom that comes with age.

Oh believe me I have had my share too. I have been reported for stupid things. This will probably get reported too. I think people just like to report people for stupid things. If they don't agree with you then they report you.

Hey I did get an answer from them after I complained, It was a link to guidelines. As this grows and the whiners continue, the fun will end and it will die off.

yeah ****** yahoo never reads what is reported, they just send them through. really, any ****** idiot can report you for anything and it'll be a violation notice the next day. if they hate you enough they can get your account suspended. Yay! What a fun damn website, where we can all come, share our opinions and if we're lucky lose our email accounts

Screw yahoo
