Mantequilla de cacahuete: peanut butter.
After opening a wonderful jar of jif peanut butter, does it have to be put into the fridge for preserving?
The icy air really makes the peanut butter all stiff, cold, and unnatural, and I'm wondering if that's even necessary.
I want to try leaving it out because it tastes better that way but then again I don't want to waste one of those lovely jars of mantequilla de cacahuetes...

Check the label on products, they tell where to store it and for how long. Jiffy peanut butter says, "No refrigerating required."

You are supposed to keep peanut butter in the fridge but I know that you just have to be really vigilant about when it is bad.

Mine stays on a leash in the back yard.
My peanut butter stays in the cabinet.
