a pound of human body fat contains 3500 Calories, or kcal, however you like to measure.

So, if you want to loose weight, the best methods are:

Drink water before meals, and extra water during the day. The water will help your body run efficiently, so you'll lose weight much easier. One thing I must warn you about though: lets say if you're drinking only 1.5L of water a day (6 cups) and you jump to 2.5L a day (which is better for you) then your body will bloat, and retain water. The reason it does this is because it's trying to save the water because it normally gets so little. This bloating effect stops, though, after a couple of weeks.

Another way is to gradually increase your water intake, not all at once. This should prevent bloating from happening (maybe an extra cup per week. Week 1: 1.5L, Week 2: 1.75L Week 3: 2L, etc.

If you drink a cup of water before a meal, it will fill you up partially, and you won't be able to eat as much.

You then need to burn off the excess calories stored up. Do it through exercise. Don't blow your brains out though. Losing weight will take time. Are you willing to commit yourself to losing weight? It will take a long time, months, to lose a substantial amount of weight.

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO:

Don't try those fad diet things. They don't work. They seem great, but the problem is that your body will hate you, and once you stop the diet, you'll go right back to where you started.

Don't starve yourself. This will flip out your body, and you could become VERY sick, and may die. Just don't do.

Summary: Consume extra water, and try to get some extra exercise in. Simple exercise like walking will do. If you manage to burn off 500 Calories a day through extra exercise, you'll lose about 5 pounds a month! Over a year that's about 60 pounds. This would not be an incredibly hard goal to achieve, and it won't cost you any money!

Good luck.

Ok. First of all, starving yourself wont work. It may shortterm, but it will make you fatter in the end. You will slow your metabolism so much that when you finally do eat, your body will store all the cals and fats immediately.
You have taken 17 years to put the weight on. You can lose what you need to in probably 6 months. SInce youre now at 154, and should be about 130, you really dont have much to lose. If you only lost one pound a week, you would be there in 6 months.
If you simply start eating healthy portions of healthier foods, you can do this. But the best thing is to incorporate exercise. This is for two reasons. One is that it speeds up your metablism and helps you lose weight faster. The other is the health benefits. Both physical and mental health will improve from just 30 minutes of activity a day. 60 is recommended to lose weight, but if youre terribly out of shape, you should give yourself a few weeks to work up to that. Once you reach your goal weight, go back to 30 and maintain it for life.
God luck in your journey. And please do take it seriously. Youre so young and have your life before you. You will enjoy it more if you are healthy and happy!

I would definitely say drink water and become gradually more active. i was 247lbs a couple years ago. I sat at home watching tv and eating. I started to drink water (small bottles) about 4 a day. Then 6. And I started walking. First 3 blocks, Then 6 thend 8 blocks a day. Going to the store, going to Satrbucks or Whatever. In 2-3 months I was 170 lbs and hadnt really done anythign at all.

first of all.........what is 11 stone?

secondly, starving will put your body into starvation mode and will actually cause you to store almost everything you eat as fat.

eat 4-6 small meals a day, with veggies as youre main staple, and a little fish, brown rice, whole grain breads and pasta. some nuts and seeds. yoghurt and fruit. cut out sugar and saturated fat and simple refined carbs (potato chips, fries, coke, donuts, cakes, pastries, cookies, etc)

walk for 1/2 hour a day or ride bike or rollerblade.

i guarantee you within 6 weeks you'll see a huge change.

6 weeks of starvation will only see you in ahospital bed strapped to IV machine

Starving yourself would only work temporarily. Once you get confortable with your weight and start eating again the weight will come right back on.You need to do some research on ways to eat better and figure out some type of exercise routine.

Starving yourself is not the way to lose weight. Your metabolism slows down and when you eat again, you gain weight. Find a workout routine you can stick with, eat better. Ex: take a walk every day and drink more water. Start with a reasonable goal. Youll gain confidence quickly. Just remember to STICK WITH IT!

Starving yourself won't help, in fact it will make you retain more weight. When your body recognizes that it's starving it will start to go into survival mode of keeping as much fat as possible. When your body digests the fat (which isn't going to make you skinny), your body will start to eat it's own muscles.
The healthiest way to lose weight is to watch your calorie intake. If you eat 3000 calories a day, drop down to 2000 - you will lose weight.

If you starve yourself you will sacrifice your muscle before any fat is burned. It is better to do some cardio activity instead. Look for ways to change your diet, and exercise regularly. Then you need to continue a healthy diet and exercise routing in order to keep your healthier look.
