I hope I asked that right. I am asking because no matter how hard I try I cannot meditate. Those who spend so much time doing it, can you tell me what it is you do, see, feel, etc. Anything.

Meditation is the art of being attentive to what is; in yourself, in the world around you, and whatever else there might be to be aware of. Seeing, hearing, touching, etc., without distortion or choice; what is is allowed to be. At first you will find your mind is all over the place like a jumping monkey. Don't resist or be discouraged, just let it be. The more gently you ease into being able to just look or just listen, the better it will be. If you try to accomplish something in meditation, you will frustrate yourself. To just listen to the rain, the wind, the snowfall, or a stream will make it easier to begin. When you and the sound of the rain are not two different things, you will be well on your way.

When deep in meditation, it feels very 'natural' and nothing strange seems to be happening to us, even if it does(coz u r in a trance like state). Only when u come back to ur waking state do u realize that u feel really good.

it feels awesome, i feel dizzy after awhile. When i meditate for long enough the colors inside my eyes change, and sometimes it has a strobe effect.

If you're "trying" to meditate, you may be pushing too hard. Just relax and let it happen.
