This was kinda cool but
some website told me to put on music to calm my pets
well i put on some rock music
the volume was low
but my 2 parakeets started chirping and screeching a lot and that was entertaining.
but then they started flying around wildly
and flapped their wings crazily.
is that a good thing?
are they excited?
They need to be let out of the cage?
or are they mad?

Dude the amount u post it dont sound like you know enough to be caring for 2 birds, everyone has already said you have only had the birds a day you should not panic them or anything leave them to settle in, how do u expect rock music to calm your too keets????

They personally sound as if they were enjoying it at first but then for some reason it sounds like they got spooked or scared or something.

I had a bird that would do that to Led Zepplin's Whole Lotta Love. It would do the same thing when I quickly slapped my legs with my hands. It would start flapping wildly, but of course when a bird does it, they just take off flying. I don't even think my bird actually wanted to take off and that's why it would fly wildly (because it didn't have a plan before hand).

First off: IF THE BIRDS CAN FLY, THEN DONT LET THEM OUT OF THE CAGE!! Its extremely stressful on the bird (and you) to do the whole catching thing and not to mention all the danger around the house (windows, toilets, etc.) Use common sense. The whole flapping thing could have been any number of things. Maybe they got frisky and were playing around. Sometimes my budgies do that. Maybe they saw something that freaked them out, either way just watch them and dont let them hurt themselves. Birds love music, but just keep the volume reasonable because they have super sensitive ears.

If you've only got rock music, then I would stop playing it. You could try some easy listening radio, but that might drive YOU crazy.

maybe the music is to loud or some kind of noise they dont like. but the flying around like crazy might hurt them. they could really hurt themselves. try something more soothing and see how they react.
