I've been thinking about getting a tight perm like leonas, but i need to know if they are good, how much it will cost, etc. Anyone with a perm? do you like it?and what are the bad/good things about it???

I have really long hair - almost to my butt, i got my perm in March of this year, i paid $65 and my hair is still curly (it has loosed some but you can still tell i have a perm) i love having my hair permed, my hair is normally straight and i get a lot of compliments. it will dry your hair out some but if this is your first perm it shouldnt be to bad. depending on where your from the price for your perm will vary. the only thing i dont like about getting a perm is you cant wash your hair for 3 days and the solution stinks! the good thing is if you dont like it you can have it reversed - it will cost you though. good luck and if you try it i hope it looks beautiful!!!

My mom's co-worker has gotten a perm like Leona's and it's worked really well and it looks really beautiful on her. Except that her hair is now really badly damaged cause she's done it almost her whole life. They range about $80-500. But, don't get it done for 80 bucks cause then it loosens up.

Around $100, but make sure you go to good stylist who knows what they're doing, they can very easily burn your hair. Also after you get your perm done, do NOT brush your hair with brush, for some time use only your fingers after washing it - brushing will loosen it up.

i wouldnt do it. a lot of my friends have had them and they always complained. it's a really long time for them to fully come out. you cant wash you hair that often or the perm will come out. also, my mom had about 4 perms and now her hair is really thin. they just suck.
