How to get flip4mac to work.?

I have a macbook pro and i downloaded flip4mac, but i cant figure out how to make it work. why dont they make a self installer or something that is simple to configure. why does things like this have to be so complicated, it`s bad enough that microsoft gat a monoply on most of the video out there. help me.

You need to choose f4m as the default application for opening windows media player files,then,it will automatically start when needed.
