I would like to donate clothes to a worthy cause in North County San Diego,where I know someone will not have to pay for them and actually needs them.

One of the charities that I am familiar with in North County is Interfaith Community Services of Escondido. They provide transitional support for people in crisis. One of their non-profit partners handles clothing donations. You can check out the information on their web site:

You can take them to Brother Benos in Oceanside. They are located by Oceanside Municipal Airport off Mission Ave. They donate clothing, food etc to homeless or anyone in need. They do not re-sell the items! They take just about everything! Hope this helps you!!

Actually Las Olas in Cardiff is a good choice. Reasonable price, top-notch location on the beach. Good choice is price is an issue. I might also recommend a picnic at the tables above Swami's. Grab some nice munchies, and a box of wine (no glass please), and enjoy watching the surfing while having a leisurely picnic. There's those fancier places in Del Mar (Keohe ??) which are on the beach too. I went there last trip to SoCal, but not as enjoyable as the picnic...
