Your question is vague, but guilty by association?, Is that as in Courtroom Guilty?, Convicted by a Judge?, etc.?, One thing I would remind you of is that we ALL have the freedom of choice, and if you choose to hang with, say, not so desireable or people who don't uphold the laws of our society, well, like I said, we have the freedom of choice. Also, If a crime is committed, and you know about that crime and you say or do nothing about it, well, your just as guilty as the person that committed it, under the Laws of the United States of America. Hope that helps.
GOD BLESS!!

There is no such thing as "guilt by association" in
American law. There is aiding and abetting a crime, which is a lot more than just being present. It requires that you actively help the perpetrator, usually while sharing the perpetrator's criminal intent. There is engaging in a conspiracy to commit a crime, which requires active participation in a criminal scheme (even if no crime actually results). There is what is usually called "accessory after the fact" which means that you help somebody (usually by helping them escape) knowing that the person committed a crime. There are very, very few circumstances in which you can be criminally liable for failing to report a crime, unless you are engaged in a profession required to make such reports (a doctor seeing child abuse, for example).
Bottom line, if you were innocent, you were not guilty. If you were guilty, it was not by association.

Guilt by association. Does that mean you had knowledge of the crime before, during, or after & did nothing to stop it or hindered their apprehension? If that is the case, you are just as guilty as they are and are a felon for life. Now grow up, quit whining, & get over it.

If you know of a crime that has been committed, and you do nothing about it. The law feels that it is your civic duty to report that crime. If you don't, then you are just as responsible.

It's because you chose to be around someone that committed a crime. You didn't ahve to be thee and odds are you knew.
