new moms are exausted because of taking care of the baby.
especially if you are working or going to school also.
i would recommend trying to get some help so you can sleep more. i was exhausted until they were much older. i think this is the nature of having young children. my humble opinion.
i raised two babies.

I gave birth 7 weeks ago to a premature baby. I was feeding every 3 hours for the first week so got virtually no sleep. She is now on 4 hourly feeds (currently requesting a feed so I'll be quick).
You need someone to give you a break - even if it is only to have a bath without keeping an ear/eye alert to something happening.
Evening Primrose is great for PMT but for feeling better at this time I would recommend Bumbles Royal Gellee - you can get it from Holland and Barratt. If you could swim once a week - mother and toddler sessions would do, that might help you feel better.
To look better - try FAKE TAN. People tell me I look so well after having my baby. Put on half moisturiser and half fake tan so as not to go orange overnight, you can then add fake tan to your moisturiser every couple of days or so when you have got some colour back into those cheeks.
I am reliably informed that feeling like you have been run over by a bus is normal - but you could discuss this with your Health Visitor, just to be on the safe side.
Good luck - lol

Very few people look the same after pregnancy as they did before pregnancy. You are tired because you have a toddler. Most mum's of toddlers are tired. I don't think it has anything to do with breastfeeding. On the contrary breastfeeding is actually a great time to rest and relax. Don't forget to take a nap once in a while. Have you had your iron levels checked? When I find that I am always tired and run down my iron/hemoglobin is low. I was a ballet dancer and then I had my first baby and went back to dancing 20 or 30 hours a week and I don't look the same as I did before. Don't be too hard on yourself.

I have a 20 month old and am usually pretty tired! But even though it is normal to be tired when taking care of a toddler (and breastfeeding is demanding on your body) if you feel exhausted all the time it could be the sign that there's something wrong, like anemia, and post partum depression can make you feel like you have no energy as well. Eating healthy meals is a great way to take care of yourself, but before taking any herbal supplements you should talk to your Doctor or women's clinic. Good luck!

If you're still breastfeeding, then no wonder you look and feel tired! It's a huge drain on your resources. Sounds like you're eating right, though, which is great. Are you sleeping okay? I wouldn't dabble with too many supplements while you're breastfeeding, although you might talk to your doctor about iron tablets. Good luck, and give it time your skin tone, etc. will probably improve, especially after you stop bf.

I feel tired all the time, I try not to look tired so I always do my hair and makeup everyday. It's definitely having kids that does it. I have two boys (aged 7 and 4) and I have never worked so hard in my life! It does get easier, but I would love a full nights sleep and to wake up naturally. Can't remember the last time that happened!

Oh goodness: yes! We're all tired! The best thing you can do for yourself is keep your nutritious diet going. But remember: if you're breast feeding, you're still eating for two. So eat accordingly. Your body will funnel nutrients to your milk, so if you want anything good left for you, you'll have to eat twice as well. Also: rest! I hope you're getting as much rest as you can. That can be difficult if you're working, but do the best you can. And don't worry about your child's preference. At this point, breast milk is giving your baby as much nutritional benefit as regular meals (which I hope s/he's also eating at this point), but it could be that Baby craves the intimacy. And that's nice. Enjoy your unadulterated mommy/baby time.

How could you not be tired? You recently gave birth to a little person who grew because it sucked nutrients and energy from you.
give it time, do some mild exercising and you'll start to feel more energetic.

It could be the stress of having your baby that makes you feel that way. When you feel tired, you look it unless you have really good makeup!
