I worked in insurance and you best bet is Term. By the way it is not Life insurance, it is Death insurance. They are not going to pay you to live. You may find it hard to buy Term Insurance, most agent don't make enough off it , and don't wont to sell it.

You need to specify what you need. There are many many very good term and even universal life policies you can get. Universal life is very good if it is purchased for a new born, rates are very cheap. Or even if you are 65-70.
Term is probably the best way to go if you want something simple. Also, alot depends on what state you are in. I know NY is very strict with there insurance rules.

The one you are collecting on. All kidding aside, you may want to look into term-life insurance (Hartford Insurance, Allstate... to name a few) Good luck
