I need help on what might be the best way to get the backing from the previous flooring and the glue off of our concrete. We started with a small area and are having a really hard time getting this crud off of the floor. We have tried adhesive removers, wire brushes, steel scraper, everything I can think of. Any help (real help) would be appreciated!

You can use a propane torch to burn off the old adhesive, but be very carefull not to start a fire with it and ensure the area is well ventilated because the fumes will make you sick. I've used a propane torch to remove old paint and it worked very well, but the stench of burning paint was the only downside.
