hi there... first don't ever pop them as you said they leave a scar and i don't know how to get rid of the scar.but..... if you want the pimples to go all you have to do is: pour some warm water in a bowl and add a lot and i mean a lot!!!!!!!!!!! of salt. yes yes salt.
then you have to take a towel and put it in the bowl for 5 mins after that you wipe your face with the towel. do that everyday. you'll see the diffrence after a week a week and a half. i promise it'll work i have done it myself. don't forget to do it everyday!

A pimple is a result of a blockage of the skin's pore.
Inside the pore are sebaceous glands which produce sticky sebum. When the outer layers of skin shed (as it does continuously), the dead skin cells left behind may become 'glued' together by the sticky sebum. This causes a blockage in the pore. The sebaceous glands produce more sebum which builds up behind the blockage, and this sebum harbours bacteria (P.Acnes bacteria). Since the body's natural defence against bacteria is primarily phagocytes (white blood cells), these rush to the site behind the blockage (where the bacteria are). This is what gives some pimples the 'whiteheads' (unless the Phagocytes are deeper in the skin, which means you can't see the 'white' caused by them). The white blood cells then destroy (by phagocytosis) the bacteria to prevent infection.

Pour a small amount of baking soda into the palm of your hand and mix in a little water to make a paste. Apply it and wash it off 5 minutes later. This cleans, exfoliates and loosens blackheads.
Apply some minty tooth past (preferably Colgate---not tarter control) to dry up pimples. Place a bandage on it and leave it on overnight.
rub glue on your face and let it dry. Peel it off.(beware--it does hurt) This will remove all oils.
Add 1 tsp of Epsom salt and 3 drops of iodine to 1/2 cups of boiling water. Let it cool then dampen cotton balls with it and apply to clogged pores. Repeat this 3 or 4 times.
Use a wet tea bag and compress it on the pimples.
I hope these help

I am also 18 years old and have had my share of acne over the last several years. What I have found is that certain types of soap work better for me. For example: if I use the Gold Dial soap, my acne is bad; if I use Dove soap, my acne also shows up; however, if I use Dial Spring Fresh Body Wash on my face, I barely get any acne. So if you are suffering from bad acne I would suggest using a different type of soap on your face. And obviously you'll need to use it for awhile to see the results. Good luck fighting that acne. I know all to well how annoying acne can be!!!

The worst thing about pimples is that some kids are not plagued by them. There is no magical cure for them over the counter. You have to go to a doctor for that. The best thing you can do is keep your face clean, use very little makeup, and eat right. French fries equals pimples.

first off, do not get Proactiv. it sucks. it will work at first but once you stop using it (even for a day) your face will be covered with zits. Do not use it. it is stupid and i wasted over $200 buying it all the time and being unsuccesful. i would try Carley's Smooth and Clear Products. they sell their products on ebay. read all the amazing positive feedback they get. do to my page and click on my question and the pimple on my nose and how to reduce the inflammation. click on that question and then go down to the girl ZAMEERA's answer. She has all the links there and make sure to read the positive feedback. It is amazing. I'm buying in TODAY!! good luck!

You're probably trying too hard, give your skin a bit of a break.
I know it's hard but don't pick at them, lots of things cause them. Stress, periods, too much attention, and not enough don't wash your face more than twice a day. It is really good to be as natural as possible Almond oil is good for pimple scars . Use Benzoyl peroxide and citric acid, for oily skin, and aloe vera for sensitive skin. prevention is better than cure, just don't over do it.

hey ... it happens to some of the kids in ur age group coz of hormonal changes takes place . i know its something u dont want. best thing for you is dont touch ur pimples not even pop them out coz popping is actually the main cause as it will lead to another pimple...so try to clean ur face was it as much as u can ..and about the scar it will fade off themselves with the passage of time. i think u better not use any stuff yet ... either go to a skin specialist he or she will tell u if ur pimples r any thing serious or jst coz of age factor.. then go on thinking of some things to put on ur pimples.

Pro-Active is the best. They offer you a risk free trial. If you don't like it you are not charged. If you do like it they will send you some every month or so.
