Dylan's Candy Bar on the east side about a block or two from Bloomingdale's has an amazing party room in the lower level, which they use for bridal and baby showers all the time. I think that they do a very good job of serving a great party with good food, plus the decor of the facilities is really nice too.

I'm writing from L.A., but just recently had a baby shower for my sister at the Ritz Carlton tea room in Laguna Beach. We had such a great time because we didn't have to bother looking at a menu, the service was really good, there was a set price for each guest, and it was in such a beautiful and relaxed setting. It was a perfect opportunity to get together and chat like ladies! They were very accomodating to our group, giving us extra room for gifts, etc.

It was pricey (approx $40 pp including tax and gratuities) but definitely worth it. The Four Seasons also has a great afternoon tea service, if there's one if your area.

Good luck!
