If God places a 'call' on your life and says that His purpose for you cannot be defeated, is it possible to run from it if you make your own choices? He gave us free will... I am curious to know the opinions of others. What if it is something you don't want to do?

While everyone else is threatening you with the Cosmic Spanking Machine, I would offer you the possibility that if someone's Divine Muse is nudging them against doing something, no matter how qualified they are and no matter how many people tell them that they'd be great for it (and people frequently mistake both for a divine call), I think that the voice a person should listen to is the one that is within. If you keep encountering a possibility and your gut tells you that it's not the road to walk, don't walk it. Pick a new one.

With love,

Laz

Your trying to do an impossible

Escaping Gods will is trying to fit a dog through the eye of a needle.... which is impossible.

So yes, you won't be able to escape Gods will nor change it

Sure people can turn away from God and his plan for people, thats why the bible talks about God giving up on people and letting them go in thier sinful ways. He will still always have a plan for you, but its up to the person to follow it.

I imagine that if god was real, then he could make it happen if he wanted to. If he wanted to –allow- you to run from it, he could do that to.
