About ten minutes ago, I started seeing squiggly prism-like rainbows in front of my eyes, but mainly closer to the sides. It's making using the computer, which I need for work, quite difficult. Any idea what they could be?

They are there when I close my eyes, too. I wear contacts, if that makes a difference.

You need to go see your eye doctor, that's not a normal thing with or without contacts. Probably nothing serious, but You need to go right away. Contact wearers have more problems, I know I'm one and we can't put our eye care off at all!

If you get migraines it might be an aura some people see this before a migraine.

If you aren't taking drugs.... it could be a migrain. If your head starts hurting that's what it is most likely. If it continues see your doctor.
