I am a registered Nurse. You find a way by bus taxi or walk,..and get to the hospital. Listen closely,...you don't want that appendix to explode (rupture),..your body will be filled with toxins(poisons).

Appendicitis is usually intense abdominal pain,(in acute cases, you wouldn't be able to stand or walk..) in the lower right portion of the abdomen, and elevated fever. (These symptoms are typical, but they are not the only symptoms that have been reported.) A simple exam and blood test for elevated white blood count would confirm the presence of an inflamed appendix. What you MAY have is gall stones. The "bloated" or "full" feeling you have, could be symptomatic of gall stones blocking the common duct between the gallbladder, liver, and small intestine. The pain can last for days per episode, and will worsen with the intake of any fatty foods. (Milk, cottage cheese, pork, cheese, fatty beef, deep fried foods etc.) It would help to know your age and general health. Common wisdom dictates "Fat, fair, and 40" are all factors in determining gall bladder disease. People of Scandinavian or Irish decent are most commonly afflicted. However, the youngest known gallbladder patients have been as young as two, and as old as their mid-seventies. Both of my parents, and two of my sisters had their gallbladder removed in their early to late thirties. I had MINE removed at age 35, and I am of Danish/Irish heritage. An ultrasound can detect gallstones, although a specialized MRI scan has proven more reliable especially if you are overweight. If it is gallstones, do not wait! Contact a health care professional or your doctor immediately. Damage to your pancreas can occur with prolonged blockage of the common duct, and it can be VERY serious.

I'm a paramedic. I agree with your first answer from the RN. There is also a chance you could be having an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Again, it has been 2 days, and you're not getting any better, so time to see the doctor. Don't wait another day. Let us know what you find out. Best of luck to you, Happy New Year.

I had apendicitis and my appendix ruptured in my sleep cause the doctor I went to see insisted it was just intestinal flu and I would feel better in the morning. I started out like you by the third or fourth day I could not stand up straight at all.

My appendix ruptured while I slept cause the doctor sent me home if my mother hadn't called the following morning and had my roomate wake me I would not be here today to warn you that you should get to the doctors ASAP. Snowing or not it's certainly not worth your health or your life.

I'm not in the medical field, but... GO TO THE E.R.!!!

You don't want to mess around with appendicitis. It can kill you!

I had appendicitis and that's about what it felt like.

Hope you feel better soon!
