I take a long walk and look at how beautiful the world is.
I read a good book or some poetry, and remind myself how amazing the creative power of the mind is.
I watch Family Guy DVDs and laugh my rear off.
I call a friend; visit my friend's 360s and leave messages for them.
I look at my wedding album and marvel over how lucky I am that my amazing, gorgeous husband loves me so much.
There is so much out there that makes me happy, those moments don't come often. When they do, there is more than enough right here to comfort me.

I look to other human beings for comfort. You're not alone while spending time with other people, particularly good friends and family, even if it's just a quick chat on the phone. It also helps to think about how best to solve whatever problems there are, and deal with them instead of just throwing up your hands and saying, "Whatever will be, will be".

1.) I 'm not schizophrenic, so I don't think everyone is out to get me.
2.) I have a girlfriend. We talk about what's going on in our lives.
3.) I have friends, so I can talk to them, too.
4.) I have parents...I can talk to them
5.) I have a job and co-workers whom I can talk to (only as a last resort, though).
6.) If all else fails, I talk to myself and tell myself that I'm better than everyone in the entire world because of my rugged good looks, scuba equipment, and my ability to have tantric sex for 12 hours at a time.

I'm not an atheist but, I'm not religious either and here are some things that I do when I feel down.
Hug my kids.
Talk with loved ones.
Read a funny book.
Take a walk.
Watch a funny movie.

Read, run, play with the dog & cat, talk with friends, bake, meditate, go to a movie.
If I'm really down, I can come look at the questions and answers from Christians and thank my lucky stars I'm not caught up in that way of thinking. That always makes me feel better.

well i'm an agnostic but i want to answer your question sometimes i get angry and get depressed and shed a tear maybe or i'll blow off steam by making pretend i'm a boxer and i'm punching a punching bag or i just go look for family or friends who might be online or i just totally ignore everybody and say to myself well i can always be a closed minded idiot and that makes me feel better or i just look around on yahoo answers and look at some of the sarcastic yet funny responses people give but i always find a way to get over it

Loved the J.P. ´s answer.
Perhaps I would say: let it go!
Don´t resist so much: the world is not as it seems to be.
There a good chance that your are fighting against yourself.
So stop it.

Why do you need to feel comfortable? Sometimes, you accept that the world is just being $#!+ to you that day and you shut down and go through the motions until things get better.
Life isn't about comfort, it's about growth, and you never grow if you're always comfortable.
