Here's the situation. We have been dating for about 7 years and he has always been like this. When I ask him why he says that he doesn't want to just sit around and drink with me. He would rather do other stuff. When we are out he is affectionate and pays alot of attention to me. So I am not sure why he doesn't like me around ...maybe I should just get over it since he has been doing it sinc ewe started going out!

I would be very suspicious. It is possible he is not allowed to date, possible he is seeing someone else and you are the woman on the side or possible that he doesn't want to take you to bars.

However, the thing that nails it is if he cannot bring you as his escort to a wedding then he does not respect you and clearly does not want his family and others he knows to know about the relationship. Whatever his reasons, you have a right to know.

If his answer sounds fishy, Dump Him! You need to give yourself someone who respects and cares for you enough to want to have you on his arm no matter where he is going. I hope this response assists you. Please be cautious you deserve so much better. Good Luck!

I'm not saying it is right that he goes out to bars without you! But maybe he doesn't like to take you for several reasons. maybe he can't be as wild with you there. Maybe you are his Madonna and he doesn't want to put you in the seedy bar scene for other drunk rowdy guys to gawk at. Maybe he thinks to highly of you to think you might have a good time at a bar or the most likely reason, something is going on at the bars that he doesn't want you to know about!!!!

CLubs and bars are for the weak. Take a chance that this guy really likes quality time with you. Have you ever thought that these situations make him uncomfortable? Do you have a drinking problem and he doesnt want you to embarass yourself? Does he have the problem?

How long have you two been together? If it is under about a year, than it is excusable. If you two are very serious, than not so. Ask him, because this is the only way you will know for certain.

Also, take a long look at yourself. I've had guy friends who don't take "gf" out because they are not really a gf, just a **** buddy. Or the girl tends to look.... well.... skanky when dressed up.

Could he be married.?
Is he ashamed of you?
Does he try to hide you?
Makes no sense to me why he would not want you with him when he is invited to a wedding. I don't understand this and would like further information on why he is like this.
There has to be more. and I would want to know what it is.
If you and he are that good with each other talking should be easy

I have friends that treat thier girls like this and i see that they are just lazy.....If your relationship is fresh, then it might be something else, but when a relationship is like, 2 years old....then the lazyness might kick in. lol. Theres boring guys out there...the thing you gotta consider is if he was always like this, or did he just change....make him jealous, tell him "if your not gonna take me out then im having a girls night out"

hmmm maybe hes seeing someone else and is afraid that if hes seen with you from the other persons friends he might get busted. or maybe he just wants to spend time by himself.

Do you go where he wants or only where you want to go? Guy's aren't chauffeure's & babysitters. Most weddings are brutal for guys unless it's their's. Compromise is a good start to solving this problem.

You need to get to the bottom of that. Sounds like he may have some other piece of eye-candy hanging from his arm when he's out.
